Go from behind the wheel, to under the hood with a variety of maintenance and transportation programs at Atlantic Technical College. 

Students will be trained to repair damaged vehicle bodies, learn the use of parts and repair manuals, learn flat-rate information systems and get their hands on different power tools to make our vehicles look their best and operate efficiently.

Advanced Automotive Service Technology - Toyota T-TEN

Program Length: 2400 hours/approx. 24 months (full-time)

The Advanced Automotive Service Technology (Toyota TTEN) program is specific to Toyota/Lexus products using Toyota/Lexus automotive vehicles, trainers, parts, tools and curriculum materials. Instruction includes practical classroom applications and an internship experience at a Toyota/Lexus dealership under the supervision of a Certified Toyota/Lexus Technician and the Program Teacher-Coordinator. Instruction also coincides with the eight (8) areas of professional technician certification recognized by the National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).

Automotive Collision Technology Technician

Program Length: 1400 hours/approx. 14 months (full-time)

Instruction and training includes uses of parts and repair manuals, price lists, flat-rate manuals, computerized systems for estimating and pricing to customers; recordkeeping; shop safety, and housekeeping. Throughout the course of the program, students will receive comprehensive instruction in the five (5) areas of specialization recognized by the Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) for professional technician certification. Students are encouraged to participate in the ASE Certification testing program during their training.

Automotive Service Technology

Program Length: 1800 hours/approx. 18 months (full-time)

Instruction coincides with the eight (8) areas recognized by the Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) for professional technician certification, and provides for eight areas of specialization in Engine Repair, Automatic Transmission/Transaxle, Manual Drive Train and Axles, Suspension and Steering, Brakes, Electrical Systems, Heating and Air Conditioning, and Engine Performance. Students are encouraged to participate in the ASE Certification testing program during their training.

Avionics Systems Technician

Program Length: 1200 hours/approx. 12 months (full-time)

Avionics Systems Technicians are specialists who repair and maintain a plane’s
electronic instruments, such as radio communication devices and equipment, radar systems, and navigation aids. As the use of digital technology increases, more time is spent maintaining computer systems.

Industry Certification & State Credential Exams

Industry certifications make you more employable. You will be prepared to take an approved state and/or nationally recognized industry certification or licensure exam in your field of study.

College Credit Transfer Opportunity and/or Advanced Credit

Upon completion of the program and meeting eligibility requirements, including the attainment of an aligned industry credential, students may be awarded credits toward an Associate Degree by Broward College or the Florida College System. Students must enroll in Broward College within 2 years of completing their program at Atlantic Technical College. Additional college credit may be awarded with the attainment of additional industry credentials.
