About TEAS Testing

The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) is an additional assessment required for students pursuing the Practical Nursing program, in addition to meeting the Basic Skills requirements.

Test Scheduling & Payment

STEP 1: Attend the Online Program Information Session.

STEP 2: Create Your ATI Account: Visit ATItesting.com before your scheduled TEAS appointment. Complete the required account setup questions, create your username and password, and select Atlantic Technical College FL TEAS as your institution. Enter your 10-digit Broward County Student ID (e.g., 06########).

STEP 3: Test Scheduling & Payment

• Access the TEAS Schedule and select your test date.
• Contact your preferred testing location below to register for your exam. To register, you will need:
  • Your full name, student ID number or date of birth
  • $75 testing fee (Visa / MasterCard or cash) must be paid before scheduling. For in-person payments, the cardholder must be present.

TEAS Preparation Classes

Students interested in additional preparation may register for TEAS classes offered through Atlantic Technical College. Additional fees apply.

Registration Steps:

• Complete the Practical Nursing Enrollment Steps with your counselor, Dana Allen.
• Schedule and complete the required Basic Skills Tests through the Registrar’s Office.

Helpful Testing Information

Before Your Test – What to Bring

• Bring a physical, valid, unexpired photo ID, such as a Driver’s License, State ID, Passport, Permanent Resident Card, or Employment Authorization Card.
• Testing rooms may be cold, so please dress comfortably.

On Test Day – What to Expect

• Arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled test.
• Children and guests are not permitted.
• Turn off your cell phone and store all personal belongings in a locker before entering the testing room.

How Long Will My Test Take?

• Approximately 4 hours.

Need to Reschedule?

You may reschedule your test up to two times without an additional fee. No refunds are available after 45 days from the last payment date.

After Testing

TEAS Scores: Scores will be available in your ATI account. Download your score report and upload it to your FOCUS Student Portal, and follow up with your counselor.

Passing Score: A minimum overall score of 55% is required.

Retesting: Students who do not achieve the passing score must wait 30 calendar days before retesting. A $75 fee applies to each retake, with a maximum of three retakes per calendar year.

Early Retesting: Students requesting to retest before the 30-calendar-day waiting period must meet the 2-point score requirement and upload the TEAS Early Retest Approval Form to their FOCUS Student Portal before rescheduling.
