Atlantic Technical College and Broward County Public Schools is happy to announce the Technical College CTE/GED ceremony will take place on Monday, June 10, 2024 at 4:00 pm, at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, Au-Rene Theater. Frequently Asked Questions

How much is my cap and gown and where can I purchase it?

In order to participate you must purchase a cap and gown from the ATC main campus bookstore, beginning May 6 for $40 (tax included).  The current hours of the ATC bookstore are Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 3:00 pm (closed 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm for lunch). The last day to purchase your cap and gown is May 28.

What is the graduate dress code for the ceremony?

– Suggested attire for men: dress shirt, slacks, tie, dark shoes, and dark socks.
– Suggested attire for women: dress or dress slacks and shoes that are safe for stairs.
– No jeans or sneakers please.
– All graduates must have a cap and gown to enter the Broward Center for Performing Arts Theater.

What time should graduates arrive, where do I enter the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, and where do I go once on site?

Graduates should be at the theater no later than 3:00 pm. Once you arrive on site, locate the Au-Rene Theater and proceed to the lower level patio.  Look for an ATC employee or review the charts to identify if you will be in the Pink or Green waiting area prior to the ceremony.

What should graduates bring to the ceremony?

Please have your cap, gown,medallion, and tassel on when you arrive. Don’t forget your honor cord if applicable.  Do not bring personal belongings to the ceremony. There will be no place to leave your items when you walk across the stage and the venue is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

Where do my guests and I park when attending the ceremony at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, Au-Rene Theater?

Students and their guests can park in the Arts & Entertainment (A&E) District Garage located directly across the street from the Broward Center at 101 SW 5th Avenue, on the corner of SW 5th Avenue and SW 2nd Street. Parking is $10 for the event and is limited to an hour-hour block per ceremony. Parking is not guaranteed and it is first come, first serve. Parking is strictly paid through the ParkMobile App, Zone 12333. Visit BrowardCenter.org/visit/parking for more information. Pay-for-parking via ParkMobile is strictly enforced and subject to ticketing.

Can I get additional guest tickets for the ceremony?

All students will be guaranteed 4 tickets.  All tickets have a barcode and will be scanned at the entry door.  EVERYONE (including infants and children) will require a ticket to enter.  Guest tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis for graduates that purchase their cap and gown. Note: Strollers are not permitted to enter the theater.

Are there seating arrangements for guest with tickets?

All tickets are general admission. Guest will be directed by an usher to a seating area.

Will there be a security check at the entry of the Arena?

Yes.  Please inform your guest to come early to allow for time to go through the security check and to take their seat.  Please know the security check will include a bag check.

Can guests bring balloons or noise makers?

Balloons and noise makers of any kind are not permitted in the Au-Rene Theater. If you bring these items, you will be asked to take them back to your car during the security check.

How will my additional guests access the ceremony online?

Guests can view the 4:00 p.m. ceremony on-the-go or from the comfort of their home through a live stream by clicking the following link: https://bcpsgraduations.eduvision.tv/LiveEvents.  We encourage you to share this link with your friends and family so they too can enjoy your big day.  Within 24-48 hours, after your graduation has concluded, you can return to the same website and click in the upper right corner “Graduations on Demand.”  A recording of your graduation will be stored here, search for your school name.

Can I purchase a 2023 keepsake tassel?

Yes.  You can purchase additional tassels from the ATC bookstore when you purchase your cap and gown.   The price is $6.50.

Can I purchase graduation announcements, diploma frames, and other items?

Yes.  Please visit the ATC Jostens website at: https://www.jostens.com/apps/store/customer/1355900/Atlantic-Technical-College/ to see the customized items available for ATC graduates.

When and how can I pick up my Certificate/Diploma?

CTE Certificates/Diplomas will be processed after completion of your program.  You will be contacted by the department secretary regarding the pickup process.  When you pick up the certificates/diploma it will also include your ATC portfolio materials.
